I finally got around to making my first tutorial for the tutorials section last night. It's how to create a drop shadow without the use of any plugin filter. I'm still not very sure about how I am going to lay out the tutorials, so it still may change when I add more. We'll just have to wait and see.

I got the archive of my friends up and functioning. All the entries so far were just cut and pasted in the database for test purposes so their descriptions will need to be updated and possibly their picture as well if I have something more recent. Of course I still also need to add a bunch more people, but I think I'm going to get the rest of the site more operable before first. Then I can concentrate on adding to all of the photo album and portfolio.

I just got done adding a couple more things to the trips and events section in the photo album. Anyone who has been to my old Mad Ant site has probably seen it already but it's worth a second look anyway. I added pictures from a party I threw in 1999 and pictures from when Ben visited me in 1998.

After days of working on the news archive I finally got it working I hope. I don't have the menu set up to link to it yet, but i'll get that added as soon as I get the chance. It doesn't really matter since I only have 3 posts at this point anyway. It's pretty nifty tho, it does everything dynamically so it's perpetually updating itself every time I enter a new post.

I just got finished setting up another mysql table for the Spotlighted sites on the right side of all the pages on Buttafly.net. I'm going to add an archive of all the old ones eventually, but since there aren't any old ones yet I don't see a point in getting in a hurry. Besides, I'm tired of coding right now. I went ahead and added the first one, so head on over and check it out. Even if you don't have a fish tank, it's still a cool site to just browse around on.

With the help of my best good friend Locke, I was able to get the news system that I've wanted for a long time up and running. Try out the little listbox thingy on the left side, it's funfun ;) Other than that the site is coming a long too. The portfolio section is pretty well complete as it's gonna get until I get the rest of the site up. There are of course some things I want to do it including adding more stuff, and some other tweaking.
